You know, I completely agree with you (yes, it's 
one of those, "hey, I'm only going to reiterate 
everything you've just said" posts) And I'll tell 
you why.

I fully admit, I used to think that blatant 
reselling was wrong. I mean I was one of those 
who got really angry over some of the stuff that 
would pop up on eBay after I saw it on YJ just a 
few weeks before. But I don't feel that way 
anymore...for two reasons (that were already 
stated by EvilMinion and CzryDemona)

1) As much as we'd like to believe that the 
dealers get all their cels from "unattainable" 
sources that none of us can touch, that's not 
always the case. I've been surprised by more than 
a few updates lately. I'd look and think "I've 
seen these cels before...and they weren't NEARLY 
this expensive", but they're a dealer so not 
subject to the same scrutiny. Then to turn around 
and criticize a collector for having the where-
with-all to do the exact same thing...it's just 
not right. I mean, if you're going to get angry 
over reselling, you should be consistant. Get 
angry at the collector who turns around and 
auctions off YJ cels on eBay, AND get angry at 
the dealer who bought the cel of Yahoo Japan, and 
is now asking 10 times the price. Or, just chill 
and deal with it. If someone makes a lot of money 
off of a cel, so much money that I couldn't 
afford it, I'm not going to get mad. Shoot, good 
for them for making a profit. Hope I can do the 
same if I ever decide to sell...

2)I have a friend who collects guns. (I hate guns 
but this is a good example so let's role with 
it). Every time he purchases a nice gun, he'll 
purchase two others that were  not quite as nice. 
Then he sells those additional guns, and off the 
profit, has paid for the first.  As he told me 
this, I realized that's exactly the same as what 
happends on the cel community. Personally, I 
don't use that method, but good for those who do. 
So when CrzyDemona writes "Some of us pay for 
this hobby WITH this hobby", I think...that's a 
smart collector.  

Anyway, it's just become clear to me that the 
double standard with dealers who resell and 
collectors who resell is totally bogus. And even 
though I used to think differently, if a private 
collector can make a profit off of a cel in order 
to fund their hobby, it is NOT an insult to the 
rest of the cel community.
