It’s quite amazing how full blown this discussion
is getting. I usually stay out of arguments like
this but, here is what I think on a few notes.

1. Re-selling cels…
Well, here is what I do. If I decided I need a
little more money to get a cel I want I put a
price on a cel that I can part with.
Now this price maybe at cost, below cost,
and yes even above cost.

BUT WHY ABOVE COST???!!!!
Well, because I like the cel and that is how
much money it will take for me to part with it.
If the cel sells, great more money for me to
buy more cels with. If not, well, great! I
get to keep the cel that I liked! Otherwise
I would have not ordered it.

I know people aren’t stupid and they can
figure out where I got my cels from.
(Well some of the cels. ^_^)
I got my CCS Judgment Day cel for $25.00 or
so dollars at Anime Gambit. Anime Chaos had
the same sequence for $60.00 or so, I think,
and it sold VERY quickly. (Nothing against Nick,
I would have paid that price as well!)
Now if I ever sell this cel (which will be never),
do you think I will sell If for $25.00? :P

2. Cel Dealers
Okay, first of all what cel dealers do is in their
name. They DEAL with cels. If prices rise
elsewhere, so do theirs! It’s called business.
If the buy a lot of cels that in a few months go
up in price, yes they may raise the price.
Cels are like baseball cards, without the gum.
Prices for them can AND WILL rise and fall.

Now of course they are going to sell them for
profit. Do you think the people at AnimeNation
sell their videos for what they paid for them?
Get real! Yes they are anime fans, but do you
think they are going to sell the video to you
for $5.00?
Yes Yann and the others collect cels, but their
business is also selling them. To me it’s the
perfect job! Selling something you collect and
getting your pick from the bunch! Now that’s a
great job! ^O^

Where do cel dealers get their cels?
Well, THAT is a secret. ^_~
Please don’t e-mail me to ask. I won’t tell!! ^_^

 3. Judging other people for their actions.
Well, unless they do something morally wrong,
this being something bad against another person,
don’t be so quick to criticize. You may eventually
do the same thing.

Also “Make Offer” is not a great way to sell
anything. Most people do ignore this.
But we learn from our mistakes don’t we? ^-^

Good luck selling those cels Katie!

Kevin

PS: Here is my first cel, and I will never part
with it. ^_^
