I understand your frustration and anger, but
there's a fundamental flaw in your argument that
these people are "keeping" the cels from you by
outbidding you.

At eBay and Yahoo! auctions, it is *not* the
person who bids last who wins, but the person who
bids highest. Therefore, even if someone attempts
to "snipe" at the last minute, they will only be
successful if their bid is higher than your
*maximum* bid. If they are willing to pay more,
they win the auction. However, if your maximum
bid is higher than their bid (even if they bid at
the last minute), you still win. And if they are
bidding at the last minute, it's unlikely that
they'll have time to place another bid before the
auctions end.

Many people seem to have a hard time
understanding how to bid on eBay and Yahoo (I'm
not even saying *you* do, just many people). I've
had people place 10-20 bids on my items trying to
get just above the current winner's bid, when it
would be easier if they would just bid the
maximum they're willing to pay.

I guess what I'm saying is, when you place bids
on cels, if you bid the *maximum* you are willing
to pay and someone outbids you, then you have to
accept that they were willing to pay more, even
if they do plan to resell.

So the middle man is not actually "paying the
same" as you would have-- instead, they are
paying *more* than you were willing to pay.

I feel like I'm talking in circle here...
