But people are right here saying they're *NOT*
happy. If you go and snap up an underpriced cel
from a site from which person X could have bought
it just so that you can resell it for a profit,
do you think that person X is **HAPPY** you're
reselling it? Maybe in the sense that they can
actually get the cel, but how happy is your buyer
to have to hand money to a middleman? Read these
replies - they're saying it pisses them off.
Also, I know several dealers (Japanese ones) who
have very nice prices and who get angry when they
see someone snap up the nice cels off their sites
then run them straight to Ebay. I know more than
one Japanese dealer that will *CANCEL* your
future orders if you resell in this manner cels
you've bought from them. So the dealer isn't
quite so happy, the buyer is only moderately
thankful that they could get the cel. . . Hmmm,
so who does that leave as the only happy person?
Personally, I would **NEVER** in a million years
buy up a cel of a popular character that I wasn't
interested in, just to sell it for a profit.
Mostly I won't do it because I hope that my not
doing it will enourage others not to do it to
*me*. (Golden Rule, anyone? ^_^) In my book, that
is very low. If I'm first to an update, I might
buy something for someone else when I know they
want it and won't be able to get there in time to
get it themselves, but I don't take any profit
for doing so. Another example was the Deedlit
genga I found here in Boston. I could have
slapped those up onto Ebay and made a *killing*.
Instead, I made sure they went to Deedlit fans
for the same price I bought them at. . . And you
know what? I know those people are truly happy
because they've already done me some big favors.
^_^
I guess maybe I've found that having friends and
people who will help you out is more valuable
than turning a cheap profit. ^_~
