Ouch. Maybe I should have been more clear.

I said I've bought *something* for a price and
resold it at a higher price.... I never said I
have bought *cels* and resold at a higher price.

First of all, the only time I sell my cels is if
I decide I don't want them any more. If I need
extra money, there are much better ways to make
it. Because my site is not very high traffic, I
put my cels on eBay to reach more people. I have
*always* started the opening bid at anywhere from
25-90% *less* than what I originally paid for the
cel.

Secondly, I would never buy a cel of a character
or series I'm not interested in -- I have a hard
enough time deciding which cels to buy that I
actually *do* want.

Sorry I seem to have upset you so much with my
comments... please do read more carefully,
though. I was comparing collecting cels to
various other types of collecting... I really do
enjoy this hobby and I'm not in it to make a
profit.

As for those people who do buy simply to resell,
I still have a hard time condemning them as
everyone else seems so readily willing to. You
should just as soon condemn stock brokers (yes, I
know it's not a perfect analogy, but the concept
is the same).

Cheers,

SP
