Hello,

(back from my trip and what a thread to jump
into!)

Anyway, just a clarification -- I was in constant
email contact with the person at Atomic Club and
had made an explicit appointment. Unfortunately
he didn't show up and the people there didn't
know anything about what was going on since he
didn't leave any instructions. I was disappointed
that I ended up buying cels that I had ordered
for my friends (not all of them were there) and
none for me. It happens. I hated that I also blew
an afternoon in Paris at the store and not
looking at more interesting things. (hee hee but
who else around here can say that some of their
cels were in the Louvre because that's where I
went afterwards). I did finally get an email from
him after I got back to the states.

Perhaps the most disappointing thing was tripling
the price on a cel that had already been
confirmed. That was rather unprofessional.

After talking with my friend who lives in Paris,
we came to the conclusion that it was very much a
cultural difference. The "American" expectations
of customer service are very different from other
standards. Perhaps I should have talked with
other French people to help me with these
differences and then my experience would have
been a lot smoother. Too bad ^^; I would have
dropped some very serious cash there but didn't
get a chance to. ^^ C'est la vie!

Wendy
