When I 1st started collecting cels, which was in 
Oct 99 the prices were considerably lower than 
now. I'm sure all of us can attest that the 
prices have ballooned. But I'm wondering...has 
the true value of the cels increase as much?? Or 
issit because thru' speculation and cel dealers 
raising the prices tt we end up paying more?? 
When prices increase, our expectations change and 
we become more willing to pay expensive 
prices...i mean face it, a lot of us determine 
the monetary worth of our cels by looking at the 
prices they are sold for.(my economics bkgrd 
leering its head here :))
So now my strategy is to be really picky ;)....I 
only buy cels of anime I watch(narrowed it down 
to FY/Ranma/Miyu) & my absolute fave 
characters...and they must be primo cels too.No 
point buying it & then sell it off later...I want 
to buy cels tt I CAN'T do w/o! either tt or i 
buy 'coz it's a real bargain & it's a waste if i 
let it go.
I try to console my self after spending way above 
my budget tt cels are an investmt.If i wanna get 
off the hobby I can alwaz sell the cels :)Of 
course I hope tt will never happen. i love anime 
and started only in 96...but I've loved it all my 
life(i know it sounds weird)i think I'll prob luv 
it until I'm in my thirties...then I'll pass on 
all my anime stuff to my kids.:)I think it's a 
great hobby and tt's something to bond us.
