Hey, I'm not saying *all* post offices or *all*
employees seem to be lacking in service... in
fact, I absolutely adore the people who work at
my small-town post office. They're some of the
nicest people I've met.

However, I mail packages between 3 post offices
(3 different cities), so if one of the certain
offices was causing the delay, I don't think there
would be a way for me to figure that out (since
it's always a matter of "which one is more
convenient for me today" when I go to the PO).
I've noticed horrible delays and REALLY bad
service (mostly with that annoying telephone
customer "service", as the person on the phone
just regurgitates what the website says and can't
offer anything helpful, etc) for about the last
6 months. Before that, things were running
smoothly (with a few random delays here and there
as is to be expected every ONCE in a while).
I've sold a lot of cds/toys etc through eBay
within the last 6 months so I've mailed a LOT
of smaller priority packages and have been able
to study how long it takes for them to arrive,
and I've been extremely disappointed...

Please note the previous post/rant was not aimed
at you when I talked about lack of customer
service at the post office. =) My tiny post
office has great employees... in fact, at one
point a fellow working there went out of his way
AFTER work to drive a package out to me because
he knew I'd been inquiring about it all week
and he didn't want me to have to wait until
after the holiday weekend to receive it. ^.^

I still have no clue why the mail should be so
badly delayed... although I guess a lack of
employees could impact it somewhat...

Kim
