Using a deputy service, what would you recommend as proper etiquette? (Tue Dec 18 23:36:00 2001 )

I am considering using on of those d.s. but I
want to know isn't it ok to ask questions about
an auction and the item offered? E.g. I see a
nice Tenchi cel and I ask the d.s. to ask the
seller, which is possible I know for a fact on
YJP, some questions, isn't this ok? ANd how about
if I simply ask the d.s. to help clear up some
confusion. Say I see a pencil sketch or cel but I
want to know if it is a douga or a genga or the
condition of the cel? IMO I think all of these
requests are reasonable, since they the d.s.
afterall is suppose to be helping customers,
right? And at least when I think about it,
helping the customer to understand exactly what
the auctioned item IS, would naturally help them
decide faster whether or not a bid request will
be placed. Or maybe I am totally asking too much,
I really don't think so though.

Advice and thoughts much appreciated. Flames and
nonconstructive comments, please keep them to
yourselves. Thank you.
