I rarely take offense. So I hope you won't either
when I say the following: I will still note that
if you have no way of translating the Japanese
yourself - even with software - you can't expect
a deputy service to translate all the auction
descriptions for you. No one has that kind of
time. I wouldn't even dream of bothering any of
my deputies for anything until I had read the
auction description.

If you can't read it yourself, and don't have
translation software, then try asking someone! I
don't mind translating auction descriptions for
people. I do it all the time. And there are
others here who would do the same if asked
nicely. Then you might not need bother a deputy.

As far as asking "smart" questions. . . I think
you should ask any "smart" questions you have -
but my list of what constitutes a "smart"
question is apparently much more conservative
than yours. The deputies need their IDs to be
flawless much more than a standard bidder does,
so if they feel they can't ask a question of
yours in the name of not pestering a seller, then
so be it.

Many Sharp Smiles,
