I collect cels because I enjoy them.  I enjoy 
looking at them in my cel books and other 
people's galleries.  I enjoy keeping stats on 
them.  I enjoy conversing with other collectors.  
Of course, the same could probably be applied to 
other things I could or do collect... so why cels?

Cels are as close as I can come to having a real 
piece of something so intangible as a story.  
With a cel I can own a piece (or many pieces ^^) 
of 'that scene' or 'that character' or 'that 
show'.  Perhaps I become too emotionally attached 
if I'm thinking that way, but I do love the anime 
and I like to have a part of it in that 'on the 
screen' kind of way.  Something is awe-inspiring 
to me about cels and has been since I was little, 
and I think this is it.
