The issue of taking and re-using content from web pages isn't
specific to the cel community. I've seen it come up on
newsgroups and web forums covering an amazingly wide variety
of topics. Unless you have been living in a cave with no
net connection, I imagine you have also seen some of these
discussions.

Long before I became a cel collector or an anime fan, I knew
that it was poor netiquette (as well as amazingly lame) to
take and re-use people's images or text without at least
giving credit and a link.

If you actually want to convince people that you do not
_intentionally_ distribute "taken" images, might I suggest
responding sympathetically to requests for removal? It
does not look convincing to combine arguments of "I didn't
know, people just upload this stuff" with ideas like "you
don't _own_ those images, and if you want your site to
remain unique you are a pretentious jerk".

It's a sad day for the net when people are arguing that
netiquette should be ignored because it has no force of
law.... :-(
