What would the law say about this case?
I am a cel collector and I make a scan of a Madoka cel
without the studio's permission and post it on my web site.
Scenario 1:
Someone else obtains Animeigo's or Studio Pierrot's
permission to use that particular image and they take that
image from my web site without my permission.
Questions for scenario 1:
Can I sue? If I sued, would my case be laughed out of
court at any rate?
Scenario 2:
The studio itself decides to use that image. They "borrow"
it from my web site without my permission.
Questions for scenario 2:
Can I sue? If I sued, would my case be laughed out of
court at any rate?
Scenario 3:
The studio itself decides to use that image. They "borrow"
it from my web site but they make a copy of it that is
slightly different from my original image.
