I agree, Taro tends to base their cel prices too much on
demand and popularity of characters and series, which
sometimes turn me off. Like for instance, the Utena cels,
VPM Larva cels, and even the Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne drawings
are too highly-priced. Granted, they sometimes have good
bargains that are rather rare, but the problem lies in that
they know that foreigners are willing to pay an unreasonable
amount of cash for a good cel and they take advantage of
that(like many cel dealers on the net).

As for AWS, I feel that they do have good cels. But the
prices have been increasing steadily over time(has anyone
noticed that?). And now their price, compared to prices in
Japan, is rather high. To me, AWS's pricing is more like
aiming the cels at foreigners than locals.

I'm sorry if I sounded a bit too harsh, but this is what I
feel and I do think its the *truth*. I have yet to see a
"perfect" cel shop on the net with really great prices and
a gorgeous selection...Perhaps if AWS lowered their prices
and expanded their customer base to overseas, who knows?
And as for us collectors, we would have a larger selection
too! ^^
