I think if you have a cel and you're feeling artistic, then creating a background for it may be a good idea. I know I've felt compelled to create backgrounds for many of my cels, and I also like to layer cels to see what characters from different series look like together. However, I respect the integrity of the actual cel, so if I was to scan a cel with a background I'd created, I'd also put up a scan of the cel by itself. (And make it known that the background wasn't original). valerie (wants to make her own repro cels)
