This post is in response to Steven's
comments, not yours Mark. For some reason I
can't respond to his string. (And I'm glad
you might get a chance at that cel, we all
know how much you've been looking forward to
it-- so good luck!)

Steven,
I'm glad you posted your views on this whole ebay/
middleman debate. At least for me, it brings a new
understanding to this. So thank you.
If I am understanding this correctly, you feel that
because you are in school, you do not have the
same chance to collect cels as those who work.
Is that correct?

So to you, personally, the issue is access.
But do you understand that a 3AM or a 3PM posting
is no easier to people who do work?

You are hearing from a cross-section of people
with jobs that place them in front of a computer.
That gives them the opportunity. But there are many
other people who work who are not in front of a
computer who miss out on just as many updates as
you might. You just don't always hear from them
because of this. Just think about how many people
on the Forum post on the weekends not during the
weekdays.

So many people share the same problem.
But as for this ebay/middleman issue. No one will
ever agree. At best, we can try not to draw blood
from each other when we debate this.

The bottom line is that it does artificially
inflate prices. And many people cannot afford
that--even people who work. People need to
understand and remember that. It is this reason why
this debate can become heated. None of us can deny that.

If you want to encourage ebay for you own benefit
to get these cels, say that. But please do not
call it democratic. Because it is not. It just means
that whoever has the most money gets it. (Laugh)
That has more to do with Capitalism--which can be just
fine, but better not to mix up the words. (Smile) Okay?
What is fair is first come, first serve. While that is
frustrating, it is fair. (And I've just missed out on
4 cels, so I can say that)

There is no finite answer. That is what a debate is all
about. When this issue surfaces again, the best response
is probably, "read the archives"

I am not arguing with you. There is no reason to. I
would just like relay the other side of your reasoning.

I wish you the best of luck in finding your cels, Steven.
Whichever way you chose to find them.
