Your question describes my situation exactly.  My 
VHD cels were purchased two weeks ago from 
Mandarake Japan, before I had even heard of this 
exclusivity arrangement.  Now, basically, Anime 
Link has barred me from selling the cels on ebay, 
through my website or at conventions.  However, 
they were nice enough (no sarcasm is intended 
here, honestly) to allow me to accept offers via 
email.  I understand Anime Link's interest and 
their position, though I'm not sure of the 
legality.  I believe Disney tried to bar the sale 
of their "stolen" cels years ago and lost in 
court.  However, I do not want to cause anyone 
any trouble, even though I do have a law degree 
and could represent myself in court if 
necessary.  The bottom line is that the issue of 
legality of sale, to me, seems quite murky at 
this time.
