*thinks* It wasn't really a particulat artsyle
that got me into anime. I actually gave in and
started watching it becuase the guy I had a major
obsession with was watching Rurouni Kenshin... so
when he would invite me over to watch it, I'd
go. Before that I guess my view on anime was
kinda skewed. I thought of anime as cartoons and
silly...almost cheap-looking. I'll admit (and I
don't do this often, so pay attention /wink) that
I was WAY wrong. I quicky fell deeply in love
with Kenshin, and I quickly wanted to see more.

*thinks some more* I'll admit that artsytle is a
major factor with at least catching my
interests. For example, I wanted (and still
want) to see series like Fushigi Yuugi and Ayashi
no Ceres just becuase I think the artwork is
amazing. However, I was vey hestisitant to watch
Escaflowne and Shamanic Princess becuase the
character design was off to me. The HUGE eyes in
SP and the odd noses in Esca. But those series
are just SOOOOOO gorgeously animated... they're
both on my list of favorites now (Esca probably
being in my top three).
