>>> bubble envelopes

A lot of people I've found have this major misconception about
bubble envelopes. These flimsy bags of bubble wrap are quite
useless for sending any kind of bendable material.
The only thing they are good for is to cushion an item if it's
dropped or bumped; nothing more. They do NOT protect against
bending or major crushing (ack, my poor CD box!).
I have received cels, cards and other paper goods in bubble
envelopes with barely a single piece of flimsy cardboard for
support and some with no cardboard at all by people thinking
that these envelopes are postal cure-alls.
No offense to any postal worker reading this; but the mail
handlers are a bunch of gorillas, who really don't care about
the mail they are handling (despite those films they show on
the monitors at the post office). So it's up to the sellers
to protect their merchandise in anyway they can, so that us,
the buyers won't complain about it later.

Metaphor (the steam has disipated)
