I don't mind participating in a lottery once in a while, but
I'd hate to see it become _really_ widespread. As Drac
mentioned in an earlier post, it's much harder to plan your
cel order for a lottery. If you choose only the cels you
most want, you may get none of them, or only one small one
that isn't worth paying shipping on. If you order every cel
you even sort of care about, you might end up with too many.
There's also no way to express preference. If you really
want cel A but would settle for cel B, and another customer
really wants cel B but would settle for cel A, the lottery
could leave you _both_ with your less-preferred cels. In a
straight order, many dealers permit you to rank your choices
(A, or if that is sold, B).

On the whole, though, I think that lotteries, auctions, and
first-come-first-served all have pros and cons, and I like
having a variety of options available for buying cels.

I just really hope that if any Clamp Campus Detectives
marmoset cels ever go up for sale, I get there first, have
more money, or am luckier, whichever it takes! :-)
