I hate seeing fansubs sold on auction for a 
hundred dollars or so, when fansubs are frequently 
sold by REAL fans for cost, and a little extra 
money for their time. I have no problem with 
paying a normal decent price for a fansub. if its 
good quality, I will pay as much as I would pay 
for a "published" video. It's worth it to me. I 
like subtitled stuff, and sometimes the fans do it 
better, or official people haven't subbed it yet.

However I see stuff like Laputa and Porco Rosso on 
ebay being sold (fansubs) for HUGE sums. so little 
poor me doesnt want to pay a huge sum just to see 
my favorite miyazaki film in English
