From a semi-newbie standpoint... (Mon Aug 28 06:49:45 2000 )

I agree with a lot of what's being said. True, I
do think that a seller can put whatever price he
or she wants on the cel, because it's their cel.
But as a person of high morals (damn those morals
;) I find it digusting and wrong to sell them for
so high.

Now, I've wanted to start collecting cels every
since I was a little girl. And when my Dad bought
a Disney Sericel, I thought it was the most
awesome thing. It being Disney, of course it was
an expensive cel. But that was all I knew of
cels, and I thought hey, these things cost an arm
and a leg. I guess all cels are like that. So
I'm a big ebay window shopper, and just recently
I've been looking at the cels with the jacked up
prices. I thought it was natural to pay that high
price for them. (Especially with the shows on
Cartoon Network now.) And more than likely I
would have bought an eBay cel for more than it
really costs, if I hadn't done a little more
research and found the wonderful sites that
offered them at their "true value" for lack of a
better term. :)

So what I'm trying to say is, I agree a lot with
the people stating that "stupid" people are buying
the eBay/yahoo cels, because it's true. I was
almost one of the stupid people. I just hope
people start realizing what's going on and will
steer clear of eBay. (Not totally though, because
I think every once and awhile you can find a good
cel or two on auction.)

Anyways, that's enough from me. Not sure if I
made sense or not, but classes start again today
and I don't wanna go! *cry*cry* Gotta hurry up
and get that graphics art degree! :)
