Ups and downs of wishlist pages. (Mon Aug 28 14:02:30 2000 )

Hey Mookyblast,

You've hit the nail right on the head there. I
know of several people who cruise peoples
wishlist pages and then go out and buy cels
DIRECTLY from that in order to make a profit. For
about 6 months I had taken my wishlist pages
down - but I have them back up again. The way I
figure it is that if I miss a cel from Chaos,
Taro or any number of the awesome dealers out
there ... well, it wasn't meant to be. What
really pisses me off is when someone then takes
that cel and either emails me and says "Hey, I
got this cel and saw it was on your wishlist.
I'll sell it to you for 300.00" and it was 72.00
at Chaos .... well, I'm sure you can imagine what
my reaction would be. :P Or they place it on
ebay, and since it's been on someone's wishlist
they think that person will bid on it. WRONG! I
might have at one point, but I have gotten about
70% of my most desired wishlist cels. So if one
escapes me, so be it. I flatly refuse to deal
with people like that.

However, I do have to sincerely thank the people
who have taken the time to specifically point out
cels that were on my wishlist that they
themselves would not have minded owning. The one
that comes to mind first and foremost is Jamal -
and I really can't thank him enough. He's helped
me get several cels, and I have in turn helped
him get a couple. :) It's people like this who
made me decide that having a wishlist page can
also be a good thing.

Regards,
Sheri
