I'm curious. . . I'm reading in here and in a lot 
of places, people talk about getting things from 
other private collectors. Also said is that 
people like to get offers for things in their 
galleries. . . I'm curious about how many people 
feel this way?

I guess I'm on a different wavelength, since 
generally I *hate* getting offers on cels in my 
gallery. (Although I *can* be caught on a "good 
day", monetary offers usually only irritate me, 
even if they're in the "right" range for what a 
cel is worth.) I've also never offered a cel of 
mine to someone who asks for people willing to 
sell a cel from ____(fill in scene or show or 
character), or relinquished one to a begger after 
an update.

However, when I post looking for someone willing 
to sell a certain cel or type of cel (which I 
don't do much) I've never ever gotten any offers 
of a sale from anyone. I wonder sometimes if this 
isn't because of my buy-it-and-keep-it attitude 
towards cel collecting. . . ?  I'm really not 
sure. . . But I put out a hoping message for 
something, it's met with compelte silence, and I 
begin to wonder when I caught the plague. ^_^;;

I also *rarely* make offers on cels in other 
people's galleries just because I know how much 
*I* hate it. . . Although there are a few cels in 
other people's galleries that I've even started 
writing beg letters for. . . but lost my courage 
and shyed out before I could hit the send. Just 
recently, I *REALLY* wanted to make an offer on a 
cel of someone's, they had posted that they 
needed money and were open to offers. . . I even 
managed up the nerve to ask if they would be 
interested in hearing an offer on the cel I 
wanted, although it was marked "NFS". (Answer: 
"Yes") But then I lost my nerve to actually 
decide on and make an offer. ;_;   Now it's been 
so long. . . (But that could be just another one 
of my shy "excuses". . . *sweatdrop and grin*)

Is this just me??? Or are there other people in 
this boat with me? The few times I have had 
offers accepted for cels I've wanted from other's 
galleries, it's meant getting some things I have 
never seen for sale before or since. But what 
makes a collector offer up something special? I 
don't, so I'm lost when other people do. . . And 
I'm even more lost when trying to *get* someone 
else to do as such. . . ^_^;;;;;;;;
