I have! I have watched all of my animes dubbed and
subbed. I'm well versed with subbed animes,
(actually watched subbed first) but I tend to
prefer the dubs for various reasons:
1. I like my own language fine. Japanese is pretty
sounding and expressive, but I don't speak it, so
I can only get so much out of it. Sure, I can
register the emotion of what they are saying, but
the novelty only goes so far for me. I have
watched subbed anime before with anime pals that
are sub junkies, and honestly, it gets old having
them laugh at the 3 or 4 words they recognize,
like baka and gomen ne. I'll readily admit that
the "cheaper" anime companies like US Manga Corps,
etc do haver some pretty crappy sounding dubs, but
most of the shows I like are Pioneer or Bandai
shows (Sunrise, AIC, etc)and the dubs on those
sound just fine to me- in fact there are some very
talented people voicing those shows that face
cultural translation difficulties and the hatred
of hardcore anime fans to make anime more
accessible to the general public (and that's a
good thing, too- the more customers for the anime
that there are, the better chance that we get more
of it!)I absolutely adore Wendee Lee.
2. If I am doing something while watching (I do
artwork a lot) I don't miss meaning because I look
away.
3.Family members and friends seem *much* more open
to watching subbed anime.
4 And, as I said, if I am watching intently, I can
pay more attention to the artwork, rather than
reading as I watch.

I know some people are sub only, and that's cool
if it suits you, but don't discount dubbing- it's
not all crap like on Dragonball, (worst dubbing
ever!) some of it's very good!
