Hello,
Actually you are wrong : I am getting many cels from studio
directly with the purpose of reselling them in the way
I do. (Ie: by displaying them on internet). Also, note
that in at least one case, it's the studio that asked
me if I wanted to sell their cels....

But long before that, when I started Animanga, the first
things I did was to ask (and got) written authorisation
to display "samples" and pictures from many studio. At
that time, I was also doing the website for one of the
bigest french publishing company of manga. They also gave
me the authorisation for using material from their produces
and for doing a catalog. (Don't forget that doing a catalog
for selling a produce is differant than using the pictures..)

As I remember, several studio/companies were quite surprised
that I asked them and very pleased. In fact, that's how
I started to know a few people in that area...

Which bring me back to what I was saying about politeness :
I never refused when someone asked me if he could reuse
graphic/pictures I made for animanga or pictures of my
cels. (granted that I can't give the right for the studio)
But I don't like at all find I find someone who did it
without asking. It's so easy to just ask...

Cheers,
Yann Stettler

PS: AIC stamp as nothing to do with "approved for sale"
cels. They were wholesaling and doing events much before
they started stamping their cels.
