HEY! I'm in Seattle too!! (Sat May 13 06:02:50 2000 )

Allright! another cel collector around here! You make the
third I've found out here since starting this obsession.

I'm Crackdog, It is an honest-to-god real nickname given to
me by one of my good friends (long story). I'm originally from
Memphis, Tennessee. I escaped from the bible belt about 10
years ago and decided to head west and stopped when I reached
the edge of the country. I don't have a fancy job like some
of you seem to have. I've spent the better part of my life
working in record stores. (Did you see or read High Fidelity?
That's me! ..and yes, I'm a complete music SNOB!) It's a
little hard to pin down when my love of anime started. I didn't
become really obsessed with it until about 8 or 9 years ago
but I can remember liking a lot of it before that. My current
favorite show is Cowboy Bebop. I can't get enough of that
show! I also like Outlaw Star and Trigun.

I was really interested in collecting the cels from anime
several years ago but I had no idea where to go to find them.
I wasn't even sure if anyone even cared enough to collect anime cels.
When I finally bought a computer, about a year and a half ago,
one of the first things I looked up was anime. Immediatly I
found sites that sold cels. I only have about 20 cels in my
collection so far, but I'm very happy with the ones I have.
I also collect other art, mostly from "outsider" artists.
If you've ever read Juxtapoz magazine or been to their
website you will see what I mean. My cel collecting was
originally part of my other art collection but has since
taken on a life of it's own.

That's me in a nutshell.

By the way, my real name is Allen and I'll be 31 in June.
(Why does this feel like an ad in the personals?)
